Built on SEALSON's signature DROP14 model, this collaboration piece layers JIAN YE's identity onto a design inspired by Zen philosophy.
Following the signature sculpted silhouette modeled after a water droplet, the piece elevates ideas of "stillness," "balance," and "intentionality" into everyday carry.
Careful attention to detail and a modular structure let it function seamlessly — from city life to quiet, introspective moments outdoors.
Materials & Craftsmanship
The main fabric is Borsa salt-shrink nylon, offering a distinctive crinkled texture with a pleasant body. Rather than prioritizing waterproofing, the material was chosen for the depth it brings to touch and sight.
Both the main body and the detachable seat pad feature decorative stitching inspired by karesansui (Japanese rock gardens), expressing stillness through both form and detail.
Modular Function & Functional Beauty
Built on the structure of the original DROP14, this edition adds a detachable zip pouch to the top section, allowing quick access to frequently used small items.
An external seat pad on the base extends the design to include acts like sitting or resting outdoors. These modular elements embody the "adaptability" and "simplicity" central to Zen thinking.
Comfort & Intuitive Storage Design
Despite its compact appearance, the 14L main compartment offers excellent storage efficiency. Inside, a mesh sleeve holds up to a 14-inch MacBook, while a mesh pocket on the back allows quick, secure access.
The shoulder straps use 3D breathable mesh, and a movable sternum strap ensures stability and comfort while on the move.
